will i have to do all my gcses?

I just recently got out the hospital and so i missed alot of school and also my foodtech exams. I was given the choice to drop the subject so i did but then i went back to the hospital. So they said they don't think i'm gonna pass and want to see if i'd be allowed to re take the year (my teachers). So my question is if i re do the year do i have to do my foodtech gcse again? i really don't want to as it was alot of pressure and lots of toxicity.

As long as you are doing 6 GCSEs you can drop the rest. The issue is usually if your school allows you to have a free period. If not then they may ask you to take another subject or do half a GCSE.
