Have you tried making mindmaps/summaries of each unit? I find it helpful to have a notebook with all my notes summarised into one book so that it'll be easier to memorise word-for-word.
Moreover, resources online like Primrose Kitten and FreeScienceLessons provide all he content needed to learn for the subject. Additionally, you could watch all their videos and take some notes.
