I'm hopefully starting at bath in September, and I was wondering which accommodation areas are best for safety? I'm going lower with prices but I also want somewhere that's safe.
Bath as a city is very safe. If you’re talking campus accommodation just because the price is low does in no way means it’s unsafe. I was in Eastwood in my first year and really enjoyed it. There’s security on campus 24/7. What exactly do you mean when you say safe?

When I say safe, I mean like I want to be able to walk around alone or during later hours without having to stress about it getting darker and not being safe, especially if I have later lectures during Winter time.
Pickpocketing and being mugged is also a big fear of mine but i'm not sure it happens a lot there 😭

You’ll be completely fine. The campus is very safe; as a female I personally never felt unsafe walking around alone at night on campus, or in the city too. As the campus is a little bit out of the city centre you mainly only get students on campus, or a couple of dog walkers using the surrounding paths on the edges. Like I said there’s security 24/7 and they even have an app where you can easily ring them or report anything. It’s one of the safest cities in the uk so I’d try not to worry about it

Take a look at the crime rate stats for Bath online, it's one of the safest cities.
Lectures during winter time is nothing to worry about. If you have campus accommodation, everything's very well lit, good security presence, all the way to your door. There's always lots of students around too so you won't feel alone, even throughout the late night. If you get city accommodation, the buses stop right in front of the entrances and there'll be other students going in too, so you won't be alone.
Security is very good. As has been mentioned in the other reply, you can alert security 24/7 with one button on the SafeZone app and they're instantly alerted with your location and will call you straight away.
