Best way to put in my notice?

I have my quarterly catch up session with my line manager tomorrow. Is this a good time to put in my notice as I have decided I am going to go to university rather than continuing at the company. This will give them 2 months notice. Should I email her before the meeting just to let her know as I’m not 100% sure how to bring it up.

I am leaving my job too at the end of summer for university, and emailed my line manager and handed in a formal letter of notice saying this is 3 months notice that I have enjoyed my time here but I wish to return to education. No need to bring it up in your meeting but a polite oh btw I have decided to move away from the company should be fine

Hi there 👋 did you inform your manager about you leaving the company during your meeting? how did it go? If not, I'd recommend handing in a formal letter of notice to your manager, highlighting that you enjoyed your time with the company but that you are going to university. It's important to leave a good impression when you are leaving as they may be contacted as a reference if you decide to pursue a placement, and/or after you finish university and look for a graduate job.

Hope this helps.
