Been given Maximum Maintenance Loan even though I do not qualify for it

I checked my SFE application and it says that the total amount of maintenance loan i will be paid is £13,348.00.

When i checked using the SFE estimator i was getting the minimum. My household income is well above the one required to be given £13,348, how have i ended up with being eligible for this much?

Could it be an error on their part, or will it correct it self later on.

Hi Enzic,

We income assess your maintenance loan based on your parents' total household income if you are over 25 - we get this information directly from HMRC so it should be accurate. If you do have any queries regarding what household income your loan has been based on I would advise asking your parents to call us so we can discuss what figures we hold, we are not able to give out income figures to any 3rs parties for data protection reasons.

Thanks,
Calum
