Why the University of Roehampton London is great for commuting students

The University of Roehampton London is a great choice for you if you are thinking about commuting to and from university.

Our campus is just a 15 minute walk from Barnes Station, with regular trains to Waterloo. A short bus ride to Putney Bridge and you will find the District tube line. If you fancy cycling into university, there are plenty of secure storage areas. Ebikes are also available on campus!

Feel free to bring your own food, our college kitchens have fridges and microwaves, perfect for warming up last nights leftovers. There will be somewhere comfortable for you to enjoy your food and get some work done. Our library café is a great spot- comfy seating and coffee to go.

If you are thinking about driving in, we offer free onsite car parking (one of the only London universities to do so). We do like to encourage green transport though.

"As a commuting student, Roehampton was the ideal choice for me. Its proximity to my home and its campus facilities allow me to fit right back in with my friends and make the most of what the university has to offer!" Hameda Lamlum, BSc Marketing.

The University of Roehampton London really does seem like a great option for commuting students. The campus is conveniently located with easy access to public transport, and the free bus service is a nice touch to make those commutes even smoother. Plus, the option for cycling is awesome, especially with secure bike storage and even ebikes available.
It’s also great to know that the campus is equipped with kitchens for warming up food, and the library café sounds like a cozy spot to relax or get some work done while enjoying a coffee. I also love that Roehampton offers free onsite parking, which is pretty rare in London!
As for commuting, it sounds like you’ll still have plenty of ways to connect with the university and its community without the need to live on campus. Like Hameda mentioned, it's all about finding the right balance between home and university life.
By the way, if you’re into cycling, I’ve heard Aventon bikes are a popular choice, and they have a discount code that might be worth checking out if you’re in the market for a new ride.
