StudyMind Work experience for Economics

Hi, I just payed for the 5 day work experience for economics on the studymind website and I wanted to know if anyone else is doing it, or if anyone has done it and can tell me what they did? I want to know if its good to put on personal statement and mostly if anyone else is doing it. Also, if anyone knows any free things I can do for work experience, please let me know. Thanks

Sorry you've not had any responses about this. :frown: Are you sure you've posted in the right place? Here's a link to our subject forum which should help get you more responses if you post there.

You do NOT need work-experience of any sort for a Economics degree, and doing something like this will not make any difference to your chances of an offer from any University.

What Unis want to see is 'academic engagement' with the subject. You do this by doing some extra-reading, study etc beyond your A level subjects and picking a few Economics topics to discuss in your PS. Extra reading suggestions from Cambridge here - super-curricular_suggestions.pdf (cam.ac.uk) - good for all Unis - or Undergraduate Economics Reading List - Swansea University This will be far more useful than commercial so-called 'work experience' that is just designed to make ÂŁÂŁ for that very commercial company.

Hey im also applying to a work experience with study mind for technology. I was wondering you thought the work experience for economics was worth it? Like was it actually beneficial? The programme is quite pricy so i just want to check before i apply.
