How is the BA Graphic Design course at Sheffield Hallam?

I'm choosing between afew unis for their graphic design courses, would prefer to go to Sheffield Hallam but I'm not sure if their graphic design course is strong.

Anyone who's done the course can you tell me about it?your experience, modules you've done etc.

I'm mainly interested in the professional side of graphic design like illustration, poster design, packaging design, advertising, branding etc. and would like a course that suits this instead of being more artsy/do your own thing.

That’s literally the exact same position as me, I applied to Sheffield and I’m interested in the exact same things in graphics. I’m really not sure where to go. Have you made a decision yet
I great way to get a feel for one of our courses is to visit one of our open days. These give you a chance to attend course talks and meet tutors and students from the courses you are interested in, as well as tour facilities and accommodation.

Our upcoming spring open days will take place on Saturday 15th February Saturday 22nd March, and Sunday 27th April

You can find out more about our open days here: Open days | Sheffield Hallam University

Hi there! I hope you're well. My top tip would be to attend as many open days and request as many prospectuses as possible from various unis. This really helped me when I was trying to choose, as I could read through course content and compare across courses/unis easily. Open days are also a great way to ask as many questions as you want to current students and tutors!

I hope your application go well, and good luck! I know applying to unis can be a really stressful time, I'm more than happy to answer any questions.
