Stuck between two universities

I've received offers from both KCL and University of Nottingham for sport science, I live in London but I've always wanted to move out for university, and I wouldn't for KCL. I believe KCL is better for sport science based on what I've seen, but is it worth going to a 'worse' University for a 'better' experience?
Hi there!

I would go back to the basics of the reasoning behind you attending university, and why you have chosen that course and those universities. If you're deciding based on experience, then in reality, university is what you make of it, you can still have that university experience even if you remain at home in your first year, and once you've made friends there you might choose to move into a student house for your 2nd and 3rd years.

If you're concerned about the quality of the course, look through the modules you will be studying, and see which is better suited for you. Unibuddy is also a good place to head to talk to students who are currently attending and studying on your course.

Good luck!

Yes, if the "better" experience means that you get a "better" degree - like a 2.1 instead of a 2.2 because you are able to concentrate more on your studies with not commuting or whatever it is that makes you want to move out. Also beyond the class of degree, if you are enjoying your experience more you are more likely to get the extra benefits from building networks, extra-curricular activities etc.
