Nursing - Keele or Staffs?

I have been accepted to study Adult Nursing at Staffs uni (Stoke campus) and at Keele University.

Is there any students studying this course at either of these uni’s that can tell me their honest experience please?

Thank you!
Hi ! I am a occupational therapy student however I have friends from my university (oxford Brookes) who are doing adult nursing course. Would you like you hear about that ?

If so, then let me know.

Hi, thank you for offering but I can only go to Keele or Staffs as I have a young family so I can’t move cities. Thank you anyway

Hi Lexie! I can’t help but I’ve also applied for both of these places. Do you know if we get a full student maintenance loan and the full 5K NHS bursary on top! I’m struggling to understand if I can afford to go :frown: x

Yes, you do get the £5k bursary if you get student loan. I've put the link with all the info on the bursary in my response to your own post.

I’m leaning more towards Keele as I went staffs previously for another degree and the student support wasn’t the best!

I ended up choose Stoke campus Staffs uni. I did my previous degree with them back in 2014-2018 and they were very supportive. My lecturers not so much, but the student union and the help and support available through the uni was. Have you decided? X

Hi! Yes you do get the NHS bursary but for nursing students we have to apply for it via the NHS learning support fund website. As for maintenance loan, you can apply for the full amount but how much you get is dependent on your household income.

Hey! I’ll also be studying adult nursing at Stoke campus 🙂 have you joined the staffs campus app thingy? There’s groups/group chats on there. I joined a nursing group chat, might be a good way for you to make some acquaintances pre starting 🙂
