Looking for advice on dental school.

Hi! I have been under WJEC for most of my education (welsh exam board). However recently I have been offered a full scholarship at a private school for my A levels as I am 'an exceptional student'. I am predicted all A's at GCSE.
For GCSE I chose:
Separate sciences
History
Geography
Computer science.
My new fancy school is under the AQA exam board and I am currently picking out my A levels. Currently I would like to go dental school or med school (oxford for med and KCL for dentistry). I am wondering what to pick for A levels as I have 2 option lots. I can either go with:
1: Chemistry, Biology, Psychology, English Literature
Or, 2: Chemistry, Biology, Drama, EPQ, English Literature.
Which would unis prefer?
TY! sorry for how long it is lol!

Massive congratulations on your scholarship, that's an amazing achievement! Medicine courses want chemistry and biology for the most part, so I would say that taking an EPQ would be more advantageous, as unis like those and tend to give offers a grade lower if you do well in your EPQ.

Have you looked at the entry requirements for Dentistry courses on some different Uni websites?
Start there.
PS. No-one needs 4 A levels. No University wants 4 A levels so its a waste of time and effort.
AAA will always look better than ABBB - and that could cost you a Uni place.

Hi! Uhm im not sure if its different for you, but 4 a levels is pretty standard for my area ahah- whether its that im under WJEC currently or something IDK- is it different for AQA people? I have looked at the entry requirements. They want chem and bio. Subsequently they are in both of my option lots. If you have anymore advice on this sort of stuff please let me know!

Dental schools honestly do not care (they’re not allowed to) about your third A level as long as you get three As (or A*AA for KCL), and a fourth A level defo isn’t worth the hassle as it adds no extra value. So for your third A level I would pick whatever you find easiest, psychology is always a nice combo w bio and chem! If you really must do a fourth one, I’d defo say EPQ because at least you can talk about it. Otherwise anything else would be utterly useless and a waste of time! Hope this helps

Only certain unis btww so check which 4 unis you'd consider going to and then do it. Also go with small content based subjects as bio and chem have LOTS of content, some which r hard to understand unless u give it ur full time and attention
