Congrats! I'm really interested in this apprenticeship for the 2025 intake and I was wondering if you had any tips to help me stand out and make it through the recruitment process? Honestly, anything in the slightest would be greatly appreciated.

I got an offer from Rolls-Royce last year so I can definitely help.

Make sure you thoroughly research Rolls-Royce, their values and their projects.

Complete some online courses on aerospace / nuclear engineering - use the websites Coursera, edX and FutureLearn

Prepare a high quality CV (if you want, I can send through the structure I used for my Rolls-Royce CV)

Go into the interview with confidence (very attractive trait) (btw you get confidence by practising interview answers over and over)

Practise "case study exercises" because you will be asked to complete one during the Rolls-Royce assessment centre

Hope that helps and let me know if you want the CV structure.

I’m also looking to apply for the degree level apprenticeship in 2025. If you don’t mind could I get the structure you used for your CV. Thanks

What do you mean by "case studies exercise"? What are you supposed to do in them?

I went to a rolls Royce careers fair on Tuesday at Glasgow science centre. The woman who looks after the apprentices said the presentation interview was 4 hours long?

i mean counting breaks it might be, it's like a whole morning thing but you get loads of breaks between the sessions

What are Rolls Royce doing with all the apprentices they hire? Are they actually training you to fill skill gaps within the business?

yes, they advertise roles that the want to train you up for ie if they need manufacturing engineers they'll open apprenticeships for manufacturing engineering hoping you go into that role after the apprenticeship like most companies

So what is Rolls Royce looking for in their CVs for their applications for the apprenticeship, cause I have done two virtual experiences and one physical as an assistant teacher for a week that's...don't know what else I need.
Any suggestions?

having a part time job or volunteering is always good, put your subjects and predicted or actual grades on there depending on what you've got but if they are predicted make sure to put that they are predicted

i mean you can but i'm not an expert in CVs or anything, happy to give you my feedback if you want it tho

I think they would mostly want to look at your responses to the questions in the application and then all the interview stuff
