Hi, I am also an international student from India and I applied for a phd in media and culture studies with a focus on digital networks to Birmingham City University. I applied to an AHRC doctoral training partnership funding called Midlands4Cities and am currently in the first waiting list for it. I have been accepted to BCU btw. If you are looking to apply for 2025, the call for applications will come in October this year. Please make sure that you have support from a potential supervisor in a university covered by the Midlands funding (usually Birmingham, Coventry, Warwick, Nottingham, De Montfort, Leicester). You can either apply with your own project or apply for a place at an ongoing project that M4C will update on its website. It is very very competitive every year, so do apply to multiple places anyway. Good luck!
