Accomodation for master's

Sup,
I'm graduating from Warwick this year and moving to Manchester for a year-long master's course. I'm trying to figure out accomodation and stuff, but I don't really know where to look and what to look for.
The accomodation provided by the uni is just a bit limited and very expensive. I kind of need somewhere cheap, i'm not fussed on sharing and stuff either.
Any good external student halls? Would it be worth looking at moving into a house with people? What locations are best? etc
Any help would be grand, thanks!

Hi I am looking for someone to take over my son’s tenancy - it’s a student room in a shared apartment with 5 other students. My son has the room but
is no longer going to university and so we need a student to take over his tenancy. The apartment is at a place called Riverside in Salford near all the universities in Manchester. It’s a double bed en-suite with shared kitchen and living area. There is also on-site gym, coffee house, laundry, garden and 24/7 security. Are you interested in it? It is £240 per week with all bills included and available from 7th September 2024. I can provide photos if interested and you can visit the website at https://www.crm-students.com/manchester/riverside-house/flexfloorplancomparision/0/I
