Is this fair at my school?

One of my classmates in my form has said that she’s gotten a detention for wearing shorts underneath her skirt. Why? No clue! I’m not sure 100% sure, but if it’s a rule that us girls cannot wear shorts underneath our skirt, then that’s quite ridiculous, don’t you think? What if there’s strong wind that decides to blow your skirt up? I’d be fuming, it would still be embarrassing even if you had shorts on but not as much as your underwear showing!

You're right, such rules are absurd and unreasonable. I think you should seek an answer to that question from the teachers.

It’s been questioned to my form tutor and she said that since the skirts are long, you shouldn’t worry about it but I still think it’s ridiculous 😭

It depends on what type of shorts she was wearing. I think it is a bit ridiculous to get detention though, I knew a couple of girls who wore lycra short shorts under their skirt and no one cared about it. They felt more comfortable doing it.

No it's not fair. All the girls should start wearing shorts underneath that don't show.

Probably a Rule that was made up Years ago when things were different, back in the days when teachers spanked your behind if you were naughty etc. Imagine them doing that now, lol, but that was normal some decades ago.
