The Student Room Group

2 years Bachelers + 2 Years Masters an I eligible ?

Hi There,
I am an British citizen , living and working in UK for over 5 years. I wanted to apply for admission to MSc in Finance . This will be a 1 year full time MSc.

I already have 4 years of university education which was completed abroad .
My qualifications are :

- 2 Years Bachelors degree in Commerce
followed by
- 2 Years Masters degree in Commerce

My qualifications are considered equivalent to a 4 year UK undergraduate degree according to the admissions office considering my admission for a Masters degree in UK University.

So basically I already hold a Masters degree but this degree is actually not considered equivalent to a UK masters degree

I have never applied for student loan before.

Please could someone advise if I would be eligible for a Postgraduate student loan ?

Much Appreciated

Hi there,

If you don't hold a master's qualification then as long as you meet our other eligibility here https://www.gov.uk/masters-loan/eligibility then you should be fine for finance. You would need to apply and the team will review and confirm for definite if you're eligible or not.

Thanks
Claire
