gcse aqa seperate science past paper

when doing past paper for gcse should i base a grade of the year of the papers grade boundaries or 2019 bcs apparenlty itll be similar to this years
an example, 2018 paper i did and i got a 7 according to the grade boundaries
but i got a 6 accoridng to 2019

i think you should just mark it based on the grade boundaries of the year that you're doing the past paper of. the grade boundaries this year are assumed to be higher because of the UNCALLED FOR high grade boundaries for last year as far as i'm aware, plus we get the full equation sheets for maths (and i think physics too) so they have even more reason to raise them. but, at the end of the day we really don't know what the grade boundaries are gonna be. so, if i were u i'd just use the grade boundaries of the year that the paper was in, and then compare the actual marks (not grades) to see whether you're actually improving in marks, and it's not the grade boundaries influencing your "ability" almost. idk how to word it 😭. anyway i hope that helped!!
