Manchester accommodation

I’ve been looking at accommodations for the last few days but I’ve been seeing bad reviews on almost all of them. I was wondering if anyone whose maybe already been there can help me narrow down some choices. I’m looking for self catered, en suite undergraduate Victoria park or city campus.
