Hello.

I'm currently working in South Korea and about to start my third year, I am considering to come back to the UK to finish my teaching qualification. Would I be able to apply for funding considering I am unable to permanently live here and have been working by yearly contracts?

or am I not eligible? I am a British Citizen as well.

Hi there,

Can you confirm when your course would start? How long have you been outside the UK? Was your time outside the UK temporary? Did you maintain links to the UK i.e. house/bank accounts etc?

Thanks,
Claire

I'm considering to start my course in 2025 or 2026, I've been out of the UK since 2022 and it is temporary since they're yearly contracts and visas. I still have a UK bank account and have my parents address connected to it.

Thank you ~

Hi there. Provided you can provide evidence to show that this was a temporary break in your residency you will still be asssessed for funding. You would have to apply and then send evidence of this e.g working visa and evidence of connection with the UK (Bank statements). Thanks, David
