Opinions ?

Hey!

I’d find the root cause of this anxiety and try to solve the problem as much as I can.
You could also distract yourself but finding happiness in something - whether it is a relationship, friendship, new hobby, new club, new sport, etc…

Is there any specific type of anxiety or feelings you’re getting?
I’ll be happy to answer and support you!

I hope you’re having a wonderful day.

Your kind words mean a lot. I'm stressed and tensed and feel burdened.
I'm anxious because of this

I applied on Feb 5th for PhD at my home uni, and got application was put on conditional hold *(rejected initually) on March 27th, stating if I revise and resubmit the proposal, my application will be reconsidered by the selectors (my supervisors). I have revised it and my proposal has been approved by my first supervisor. Proposal was revised by 3rd April and sent to first supervisor on 5th. Final changes by 7th April.

However the second supervisor has been off since almost Easter break. Initially he was gone until the 10th but then he extended it till 22nd.

He is back to work now. I had sent him emails on 10th , 12th (didn't know he was out of office) but received his out of office message. Sent him my updated proposal in the evening of 22nd. No reply yet.

The application was most certainly put on hold because he was off. Now its term 3 and revision/exam season so I'm worried.

I had emailed doctoral college but they said they are unsure of the admissions process once it goes to the academic department for consideration.

I don't want to send him more emails as I have already sent before.

What do I do?

I can't believe you're going through so much!

I would say wait for around 2-3 more days (basically waiting a week from the 22nd) and send another email - perhaps asking if he received your proposal.
You could use this to ensure that he received your proposal, as there is a chance he missed your email because of his other busy schedule and emails.

If you are sure to avoid emailing, you can always try to meet your supervisor or find out from their colleagues if you may be missing any extra bits of information.

Anything that happens, I wish you all the best!
Good luck, and I hope you're having a wonderful day.
