I would definitely recommend halls. I definitely think its worth going for a halls that are more expensive as they usually have the best communal areas and TV etc which helps you actually make friends. What uni r u applying for?
Hey there,

Living in university halls can be a fantastic experience, especially when starting your uni. People surround you, and you can make many friends. Plus, the convenience factor is a big win being close to campus means you can roll out of bed and make it to your morning lecture in minutes (I am lazy, lol).

Halls often come with support services, like resident advisors and organised events, making it easier to adjust to university life. The convenience of having utilities and Wi-Fi is usually included in the rent, saving you the hassle of sorting out bills. Sure, it can get a bit noisy sometimes, and sharing facilities might require some patience, but it's worth considering everything else. Also, you find people with whom you can move out later. I did this, and it worked well for me. Tbh, I kinda miss being in halls. Though I am in a flat now with two of my roommates from the halls, and it's nice, I am also glad I got to experience living in the halls.

However, if you prefer privacy and have sorted out your roommate situation, you could stay in a flat. It's totally up to you. Both options have pros and cons. I would suggest halls at least in your first term or year. I hope you enjoy your time at the Uni. Feel free to reach out if you have any other questions.

Cheers,
Shri (MSc International Business Student).
