Hi, Congrats on your offers! I'm a final year student studying Arabic and International Relations at SOAS. The IR department is great because you can study the foreign politics and regional dynamics of different countries around the world. Alongside my language studies I chose IR modules related to the Middle East, Palestine/Israel, International Conflicts Rights & Justice, Global History and The Political World Economy. The exams are predominantly essay based and the professors are extremely engaging and supportive throughout the department. SOAS is a small cosmopolitan, diverse university with students from all over the world. It has a diverse students union with over 165 societies where you can meet new people and make friends e.g in sports, debating, consulting, cultural e.g MENA etc offering a range of events throughout the year

Hope this helps!
