UAL or Kingston ??

Hi everyone, about my background I'm South-East Asian currently study abroad in the UK. I have just get the offer from UAL - Fashion visual merchandising and branding and Kingston - Fashion communication and promotion. I'm still on the fence because prefer UAL more because of the network, location and ranking but their tuition is pretty high for international students also some of people who study there said that UAL is so overrated. Therefore, I worry that it's not worth the money I pay. I know that Kingston is also a good university but the location is pretty far for me and there are not much information about them. Can you guys give me some advices about this please??

Hi.

Congratulations on your offer! I am currently in my first year of fashion promotion and communication at Kingston and so I can share my experience with you and answer any questions you may have about the course.

Kingston School of Art is ranked very highly in the Guardian University Guide and has a great network. I have seen this from the guest lecturers we have had in to do talks and the tutors experience within the industry.

I have really enjoyed my first year working on a range of fun projects such as a client pitch, a group zine project and creating a campaign for a brand which provided clothes we could use for the photoshoots. I find that we work on a range of projects that really prepare us for working in the industry.

I have previously done a blog post about why I chose the course which you can find here Why I Chose Fashion Communication at Kingston - The Student Room and I have also done one explaining what my deciding factors where My Deciding Factors For Choosing Kingston University - The Student Room these might help give you a bit more information about the course and Kingston.

The course also has an Instagram account that showcases some of the student work which is called @kingston_fpc that you could check out.

Hope this helps and if you have any questions feel free to ask
