The Student Room Group

Which University to choose?

I got offers which I separated based on their location, fees and ranking. Help me with choosing one for MSc in Data Science program:

1. Newcastle Uni and Uni of Birmingham: Russell group, medium fees and living cost, 85-110 ranking in QS, major cities.

2. Uni of Liverpool , Cardiff Uni: RG, Cheapest cost of living and fees, 170-200 ranking in QS, medium sized cities.

3. Uni of Bath, QMUL: High cost of living and fees, Medium ranked in QS 120-150, mixed reviews online.

Now I don't know how these unis are in reality with their student board or teaching methods, please help!!

Newcastle and Birmingham are decent unis. I would suggest that you consider which type of city you would like to live in as Birmingham is a different world to Newcastle.

Can you explain me a little? I'm not from UK.. I'd love your insight on how the two are different

Birmingham is one of the biggest cities in the UK, so the life and culture would be different to Newcastle that is relatively smaller. also Newcastle being up North would be colder than Birmingham that’s in the midlands.

Academically, they are both decent unis. You would have to decide based on student culture, lifestyle and cost.
