Gcse aqa physics help

Are fuses and how they work apart of aqa electricity spec? I havent seen it on the spec but ive come across some questions that mention it, it it something we should be aware of?

yes, they are. it's basically just how do they work, what do they do, why do we have them etc. it's nothing that big, make sure you knw the content, but don't stress yourself out.

that's strange- tbf my school doesn't really use a textbook. we only mentioned it in passing. it's basically just part of the bit about wires within plugs, like mains electricity. let me send my notes. apologies about my handwriting!!

my teacher told us that they could ask which number fuse to use (basically calculate current and add one or two amps) and why they’re needed (to prevent overheating ??)
