Can we have better quality avatars? Also stop shrinking the size of them

Problem Details
Currently, you can only have an avatar size of 25KB if you’re a normal user or 50KB if you’re FH+. I find this size to be too low as many other platforms allow you to have higher quality avatars that don’t reduce the resolution so much.

I think that the size needs to be increased (as least for non-gif avatars) and that the same size should be allowed for all rather than the current 2 tier system.

TSR wants to simplify and modernise? Well on most other platforms, you can have high quality profile pictures (in the MBs not KBs) rather than pictures loosing a lot of its quality.

Tbf on those platforms, you can’t have gif profile pictures either but that’s a separate thing and I believe that should be kept.

I also maybe find that users might get confused when they set their avatar in that I see some users with a profile picture but no avatar which makes me think that some people believe that changing your profile picture, changes your avatar (the profile picture that people see when you post in threads) but in reality, that’s not the case.

This is a minor thing and not a priority by any means or stretch of imagination.

Yes it was better. At least give us Discord/Reddit quality avatars and/or have square profile pictures.

I have screenshots/explanation to compare the quality (not here) if the dev team want to see what I’m talking about.
