Warwick or Ucl

The courses are maths and statistics and i know warwick ranks higher but i want to know which is better for the overall experience. Lots of people talk about lower cost of living in warwick but if i go to ucl im going to commute from home and if i go warwick im going to stay in accom so either way warwick is still more costly for me but i dont mind.

Both are really renowned unis for your course, going to UCL instead of Warwick or vice versa would not disadvantage you in any way since they're both target universities. I'd look at their modules and see what appeals to you better, and try connect with people currently at those unis on Linkedin to get a better insights.

Also consider the social life as this was what differentiates the two a lot. Warwick will give you a chance to live more independently but living at home is still great either way.

Thanks,Ive alr checked both modules and am fine with either. As you said about living independently is what is making me lean towards warwick as some of my closest friends are going warwick and i feel it would be more fun as we will be able to hang out more as we will do same courses. Although I also do care about how the place overall is, like ucl is in london and the building and atmosphere seems nice where as warwick seems a bit dull but more quiet. These choices are really doing my head in, I feel more focused on this than my actual a level exams

Totally normal to feel like that! Have you managed to attend any open days/offer holder days? If not, you'd benefit a lot just to get the whole vibe of the uni.
In my opinion, don't focus too much on the fact that your friends are going to Warwick as uni will set you up to make a ton of new friends and that's the same case for them.
On the other hand, I know a lot of people would be much more comfortable being with their original friends and it makes the whole uni experience a little less daunting at the start, so its your personal preference and I guess how much you want to make new friends.
Warwick is definitely not as lively as London but that's pretty much every other uni too if its being compared to London. I cant comment too much about the social life at Warwick unfortunately so hopefully someone from Warwick will respond to this thread!
Also, I'm not sure how far you're looking into the future but a lot of internship/networking opportunities take place in London, and of course the whole living situation would make London a bit more convenient. Then again, there's an opportunity cost of you staying at home!
If you are leaning more towards Warwick, I'd say that booking accommodations is probably going to become more important so that's another thing you might have to consider the next few months, unless the uni provides first-year accom (not too sure again!)

Nah I’m just statistics since I’m more focused on statistical science for job like data science and actuary but now am thinking of changing to stats econ finance since it’s more broad. I might ask for a course change since it may be more worth the tuition fee
