Sameee but I’m kinda worried bc RE grade boundaries are always crazy high for no reason and I think I’m good with Christianity but bad when it comes to Shi’a Islam specificslly

How do I get at least a 7. My school only has 1 re lesson a week and I got a 2 in my November mock. I’ve been doing a lot of revision for it self teaching myself everything but can’t apply my knowledge to actual exam questions. You reckon if I do every past paper and learn the mark schemes I’ll be good?

Ikr like you need insane marks to get the high grades, really makes me wonder who can do so well to make them high. I see on the exemplar answers that 12 mark answers are really short but whenever I try to replicate that I get like 6-7 so long answers just work better for me even if it's more stressful to get it done in timed conditions.

I think for Shi'a only difference worth noting is the Imamate which just is basically Muslims add 'Ali is a friend of God' to the Shahadah, believe in spiritual Imam leaders and Khums (20% of earnings) otherwise they are quite similar.

I got a 6 in my Year 10 summer exam and I managed to get a 9 in the y11 mocks. Learning quotes and general knowledge around the subject really helps. For exams try On the one hand, I agree then On the other hand, I disagree, should help you out. Don't forget a conclusion.

If you want any model answers I have a few I can PM to you. Good luck!

i would day that you evaluate the 2 agree together. and then evaluate after 2 disagree. then write your conclusion with stating what is the strongest argument of only 1 side and explain. Then you can evaluate further by adding your opinion. Remember, to chose only one side as a stronger one.Screenshot 2024-05-06 174737.png

Sameee I have to write so much for a 12 marker, and I totally understand the stress!! 😭 also thank you so much for clarifying some of the differences between Shi’a and Sunni Islam bc my school kinda rushed over it c:

Same! a pro tip i do is that if you know 12 markers take you the longest start with those then move onto 5 markers then 4 markers and so on! losing 3 marks on a 5 marker is better than losing 7 marks on a 12 marker
