Warwick or Bristol for Politics and French

Hello. I got accepted in both to study Politics, IT and French. I know that Warwick has got a better department but prefer Bristol as a city. Is there anyone studying Politics and French in Bristol? Do you get value for money? What is the course like?

Hi jolark13,

Unfortunately I don’t study politics, but I do study French. What helped me decide was looking at the modules and choosing the uni which best aligned to my academic interests. In my case, I really enjoy reading and film, and Exeter offered plenty of modules revolving around them, so I chose Exeter. I’d think about what you like to do, be it linguistics, philosophy, film, history etc. and see which uni offers modules that best appeal to you. This goes for politics as well!

Of course, there’s accommodation, student life, overall ‘vibe,’ and welfare options to consider, but that’s just what helped me. Well done on your offers!

All the best,

Jen,
