I accidentally did the material variances as the labour variances but when I realised I just crossed it out and redid the question on the additional pages. Luckily I didn’t lose too much time

Ye i miscalculated the material variances way too many times had to go back and forth to get the Total adverse variance to align. Do you remmebr what u had for the Labour ones individually ?

Was that the one about choosing which supplier?? If it was I think the only calculation I did was working out the total cost of buying 5000 t shirts for each supplier.

Can’t clearly remember, but I worked out contribution even tho there was only selling price and materials price without labour cost, and the rest I just done comparisons analysis like differences etc

You didn’t compare, or so contribution per unit?

Wasnt the question on selling price using either marginal vs absorbtion I think I got the marginal but idk if there was enough information for absorbtion

No I did compare but there wasn’t any calculations involved in that cause it’s just analysing the figures. I didn’t do contribution tho cause we only have materials and not labour. When I did the total cost, I talked about profit margins and stuff cause that would impact selling price

Yeahh, I couldn’t calculate the absorption cost because we didn’t have the total overheads. I ended up concluding by saying marginal was better I think

they said the business wanted to absorb rent using labour, despite most of her factory being machiney, got confused from there.

Yeahh, I wrote that as a reason why they shouldn’t use absorption costing because you have to do it based on whether it’s machine or labour intensive, so why would she use labour hours if she is machine intensive.
