hi, i completed my student finance application as a first year for 2024/2025 but i put the wrong surname for my mother. we noticed this as soon as i sent my application and my mum got the email for her side of things. nothing from my parents side has been completed as we wanted to sort this issue first. would it be quicker to just cancel my application and start a new one 24 hours after? i know about the ppf2 form but we havent yet been asked to fill it, i dont want to fill that, send it off and have it further complicate things because they didnt ask us to fill it in yet. i genuinely dont mind the 24 hour wait to complete a new application.

NEVER cancel your application to make a change.

The PFF2 form is just the same as your parents would be asked to provide online.
Use the form and submit it on your account with a cover note explaining the error on surname.
