Tories and Reform: rats and snakes.
Poulter voted in favour of austerity, benefits cuts, the hostile environment, the Rwanda bill, and various other rotten policies, and he supported Johnson even after he was caught lying to Parliament. Thus Poulter may be likened to a rat leaving a sinking ship, but he has at least said that he won't stand for re-election.
I'm not religious, but I am reminded of this:-
"I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance."
(Luke 15:7, and see also Matthew 18:10-14)
