Hello
hi, i was wondering if we could be asked to plan an investigation (using the 5 stages of the enquiry cycle) in the exam? I've only seen questions asking to discuss whether a given plan is appropriate..

i don't think so the specification doesn't mention anything about making a plan it only mentions interpreting ones given to us.

yoo 0.4752 for the binomial distribution probability thing right?

i dont remember honestly but i know someone who did so its probably correct
on the last question I put that the first person was incorrect (i got -0.5 standardised score for the 100m race and the 400m race was -0.2) so the lower the standardised score, the faster the time. ((is that right??))

And the second person was correct because I calculated something around 88 seconds which is more than 1 second above 86

will i get method marks for the binomial distribution if I done 4C3 x 0.6^3 x 0.6^1 . I know the second part should have been 0.4^1

Binomial question workings I think are right:
0.75 x 0.6 =0.45
4 x 0.45^3 x 0.55^1 = 0.2
1 x 0.45^4 x 0.55^0 = 0.041
Add together and get 0.241

bro it was 3 times or more so it was 4*0.6^3 * 0.4 + 0.6^4 = 0.4752

Why 0.6 and 0.4 pretty sure you had to times 0.6 and 0.75 cause it was chance of on time for both Monday and Tuesday
