does anyone know what topics might come up for paper 3? through process of partial elimination from paper 1 and 2 I was thinking:

Phospholipids, cell membrane and proteins

Enzymes

Gas exchange in fish / insects?

Transpiration in plants / mass flow / phloem and xylem

The heart?

Photosynthesis ( since respiration only came up so far)

Nutrient cycles

PCR, genetic engineering

Anyways here's what I think, if anyone could add to the list or offer any suggestions it would be much appreciated )

Maybe as well:

species classification and taxonomic groups

eye

action potentials potentially in relation to the eye

Pr and Pfr

aseptic techniques and bacterial growth

stats test + quadrats ie something topic 10 related w a stats test

maybe? idk tbh - might come up as a practical e.g quadrat or abiotic factors affecting species morphology

Does anyone have any tips for the 9 markers? I really struggle on them

this might sound so stupid but try to apply or the “common sense” answers into those questions like if you have a look at the 9 marker on the 2023 paper about coronary heart disease, some of the marking points were: men are more likely then woman to get it, alcohol consumption and how different ethnic backgrounds have different risks. this probably applies to other question like this one 5 marker about “why is the number of species in a playing field low?” and the marking points were something like because animals are hiding😭 and trampling occurs

Just make sure to cover each aspect of the qu - if the qu asks about several factors then explain the factors and kind of write everything you know about them. 9 markers are hard cos u never really know what the mark scheme is gna say but I always find that the mark scheme allows for u to say quite a few generic things to get marks
Does anyone have a process for the analyse the data questions and 9 marker?
