Do I withdraw from my exams? Please help me

I'm a student who applied to KCL, got an offer, missed it by one mark due to grade boundaries suddenly rising this year.

I reapplied, got in again. I don't know if I made the right decision. I regret not applying to a different path and I don't want to go through with my exams because I feel mentally unwell, I've never been supported about it neither from my family or sixth form and wasn't able to get proof from the GP. I didn't study this year at all and haven't been functioning with daily life.

Should I withdraw my offer and apply again next year and risk not getting in again? Or should I go through with these exams, risk being unsuccessful AGAIN and reapply with a third resit? I don't know what's worse.
Even if you withdraw and reapply then if you reapply to the same universities they’ll know that you applied this year planning to attempt your A levels a second time.

Is your GP treating you for your mental illness?

Would that change their look towards my application?

No, my GP is really bad I avoid going

How do you expect your mental illness to improve if you are avoiding treatment?

I have time to get help next year, right now I don't. It's just the matter of what I should do now. Is it better to sit my exams, risk failing second time but potentially getting in or do I withdraw and reapply next year with a resit that isn't failed?
May as well just go through with the exams. Worst case scenario you have to do it again next year.

And the answer is it’s better to get help asap instead of postponing it

It takes 15 minutes to change your GP and there are other routes to seek support for your mental health.

Don't you think it's worse to reapply with another failed sitting than not at all?

Is this in favour of myself or the chances of me getting into my uni in the future?

I think you should try your best with your exams this year however you can. I get that it can be very off-putting especially if you don't know the content very well or haven't studied much but there's no harm in just trying, right? Plus if you do do badly then resitting is completely fine and I'm sure the unis won't mind it. They only really care about the end result anyways.

I feel like there's harm in trying but I don't know if that's due to my current cynical mindset. I'll be resitting twice, so that means it'll be my third attempt that A-Levels. I'm applying to UCL/KCL so I'm scared they'll be put off, are you sure? I'll follow your advice

There's no harm in trying, of course it can be pretty disappointing if you don't get good results but that's really it. Universities take applications from so many different people at different stages in their life so messing up a bunch of times and reapplying the next year is really of no concern to them.
