PhD funding and application

Hey folx, I've just graduated with a merit in my masters. And barely made it through the dissertation with a pass. Not to mention I was doing small jobs and zero hour internships to support myself and get experience. I have always wanted to go into academia so I can teach as a professor but after this I don't know if there are universities that will accept me and give me funding for a PhD. And for financial reasons there is no phD for me without funding. My question is if I work on a proposal and take thr year to do it, would I still have chances to get in with funding? The university doesn't matter to me as long as I get funding.

Hi @m.kaur97,
Happy to hear you want to pursue a career in the academics. I have compiled a list of links you may find useful during your research with PhD opportunities at University of Bradford.
If you have any more questions, I recommend contacting our Career and Employability Services to have a look through our funding information and chat with an adviser - [email protected]

Also feel free to check out this PhD website as it can provide additional information.
Hope you find this useful

Your chance may be lower than those who got two firsts in their bachelor's and master's but of course, merit is not the end-all.
I don't think anyone here can estimate your chance without knowing your subject & research experience etc. Some subjects are much easier to get funding than others...
