Does dropping out of part time affect full time entitlement.

So I completed my first year of OU, and get 120 credits, however, I have not been given a CertHE. I began my second year, however, I had to drop out due to personal circumstances.

Due to my tuition loans being part time, and me not gaining a qualification, will this affect my full time entitlement if I was to attend university full time for a 4 year course.

Hi there,

If you've studied less than 1 year and not obtained any qualifications then no, it won't affect your entitlement for the full time course. Thanks, Jason

Hi Jason,

What if I’ve technically studied part time for 2 years in the eyes of SFE but don’t have a qualification to show for it. Would that affect my entitlement to full time?

I will put it all in one message.

I studied part time at OU for 120 credits of a BSC but didn’t get any qualification for this. I used 2 years of part time tuition fee loan, but have no qualification.

I’m looking to study BA Business Management and Japanese Studies full time at Sheffield university where I will require full time funding.

My part time tuition fee won’t affect my full time tuition entitlement will it?

Hi there,

Thank you for confirming. This wouldn't affect your funding for the FT course. Thanks, Jason
