1) focus on specific words ! so yeah it’s important to find phrases to discuss but also try to find individual impactful words to talk about in length that have been carefully chosen
2) try to make links across the whole poem like linking an idea at the start to something mentioned in the end
3) use super short precise quotes !! and embed them
4) WAFFLE!!! they know this is the first time you’re reading this poem probably so any idea, as long as you can back it up, is valid, no matter how dumb it sounds!!

i hope you manage to do well - even if you don’t do amazing in the unseen, it seems you’re doing brilliantly in the other sections so i sincerely hope it all balances out and doesn’t affect your grade :-)

BE BRAVE!!! that's what my teacher always tells me. It sounds stupid but it works!! Unseen poetry is all about your analysis skills. If you see a word and feel like you can make a point on it, zoom into the word and do some deep analysis and you will be fine!! Find the reoccurring symbol throughout the poem too, for example, if the poem is about change throughout life and there is a reoccurring symbol of feet, talk about how the poem may show that as you grow older, you learn to walk on your own!! deep dive on that and that should improve your marks.
