Psych: Bath or Royal Holloway

I need to make my decision about the firm and insurance choice and I am torn between choosing Bath or Royal Holloway. Are there any students that took the psychology courses at these two? Could you describe your experience?
I have seen some people describe Egham as a boring city but that’s not really what I’m interested in. I would like to know more about the campus life, how the teachers are, the atmosphere, how close the community is, things like that.
Thank you!!
I’d say Bath🙂

Hi there,

It's great to hear you're considering studying Psychology at Royal Holloway. You can find out more about our course here: https://www.royalholloway.ac.uk/studying-here/undergraduate/psychology/psychology/ including the entry requirements and course content.

Our department is among the best-equipped psychology departments in the country where post- and undergraduates may benefit from the department's advanced technology. You’ll study in a department ranked 3rd in the UK for research (THE, REF Institutions ranked by subject, 2022), learning with academics who are experts in their fields, and contributing your own findings to this leading research culture with a final year research project.

Come to our campus to view the fantastic facilities, see where you could be studying and living and find out more about what Royal Holloway has to offer. We run regular guided tours of our Egham campus, or if you can't make the dates, you're welcome to come along for a self-led tour: https://www.royalholloway.ac.uk/student-life/visit-royal-holloway/book-a-campus-tour/

Our vibrant social scene is one of the things that makes the student experience at Royal Holloway so special! There's almost always something going on at the campus whether it's drama in our contemporary Caryl Churchill Theatre, a pool tournament in the Students' Union, a meeting of the Harry Potter society or a non-alcoholic slumber party! All the attractions of one of the world's great capital cities are less than an hour's journey away the galleries, the museums, the shops, the bars and nightclubs. Chat to some of our students here to find out more: https://www.royalholloway.ac.uk/chat/

Hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions!

Best wishes,

Royal Holloway, University of London Rep
