Should I avoid my crush

I've had a crush on this guy for many months, because he's really cute and his friend said he was bi. He's definitely not interested so I was feeling pretty crap.

Unfortunately when I got drunk I'd tell more people about my crush, and the other day when he was at a pub with his friends someone decided to bring it up in front of everyone. Now I'm so ashamed that he and a bunch of other people know and want to bury myself.

I don't know what to do. I'm not too close with them but I don't have other friends either. And if I see him again both of us would just be so uncomfortable. I'm now on the committee for the society we're all in as well but I'm thinking of skipping them until he graduates this summer.

honestly, I think you should own it. It's really not that big of a deal and you shouldn't lose your friendship group over it. just act like it never happened and move on, dismiss it as all rumours or act like you used to and now you dont. who knows he may find your confidence and maturity in the situation attractive, and if he doesn't then he's a child and you can do better.
