Instead of answering my question regarding which uni to chose? What’s this.

Hi Nicky444! 🙂

Glad to hear you have an offer from us- congratulations! 🥳

I think you have definitely made the right choice to consider studying with us- Plymouth has some amazing facilities and is a perfect location as a city campus. Although I don't study medicine, I'd recommend chatting to our two medicine students available to chat to on our Unibuddy page if you have any course-specific questions or want any help making your decisions. Likewise, if you have any general enquires about Plymouth too, such as the city or student life, feel free to reach out to myself!

Best of luck!

Hi Alfie, Thank you for getting back to me. Yes I really liked Plymouth. May I ask where are you from and if you are from far, was distance any concern for you? What course you are studying if you don’t mind me asking. I don’t know any one in Plymouth and I need to hurry booking my accomodation. I have heard Astor house is popular one amongst medics. I think it’s fully booked. I didn’t have time to visit any of the buildings during offer day. If you know which one best suits a first year medic. Thank you so much.

Hi there! 🙂

No worries at all! I'm really glad you liked Plymouth- I felt there was a really great atmosphere on campus when I visited the open day, which is one of the many reasons I chose the university.

I'm from Sussex, so around a 4-5 hour drive for me to Plymouth and I find that it's not too far but far enough to have some independence away from home! I regularly visit home for weekend trips and go home for the holidays and the distance isn't an issue at all- Plymouth is really accessible by public transport options, too, with coach and train stations central to the city, just minutes from the university campus.

I study zoology so unfortunately a different subject area, but I'd be more than happy to answer any more general questions about the university, student life, and the city in general if you have any!

Regarding accommodation, there are plenty of options around the city. Our university-managed halls of residence are a great option and you can find more information here as well as more details about our guaranteed accommodation place for students who firm the university and book before 4th July (so rest assured there are plenty of options)! There are also many private halls around the city, so lots of choice to suit your personal budget and preferences.

Best of luck! 😃
