Sick Pay

I am currently signed off by my gp, does anyone know if you go back to work on amended hours, i.e., doing 2 hours a day, is that all I would get paid, or will still get my basic hours of 27.5 hours. I work for m & s. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you

Normally only long term sickness people will get a opportunity to do a phrase return to work ( similar to what you have said).

If your GP puts on your sick note that they think a phrase return to work would benefit you then your work might ask there own occupational health provider to discuss with you why you are off sick for and decide to whether or not your work should give you a phrase return period to get you back to work as otherwise you will just have to do your normal working hours.

Talk to your manager about it if your GP has noted that you would benefit from a phrase return period over a few weeks to say a month ( you would gradually increase your hours each week until you are doing your normal hours per week).
