SFE - Welsh Grant

Hello,

I have just been through the SFE process and was approved, applying for both tuition fees and a maintenance loan, being awarded both. The letter came today and after discussing with my family they have asked about me trying to apply for a grant for some extra income, as i would be living by myself, studying in London.

I have seen that welsh students, are able to apply for a Welsh grant of some sort, not too sure specifically on the details. I wanted to know if i would be able to apply for this grant. I am a welsh born citizen, lived for 11 years but moved shortly to England for Secondary and Sixth Form.

I am not too sure on the specific details, but if anyone has any help it would be appreciated, and/or, being able to point me in the direction to apply to this grant if applicable.

If you mean funding from Student Finance Wales, then you wouldn't be eligible as it based on where you normally live (which is England). Have you searched your uni's website for bursaries or scholarships that you might be eligible for?
