Hi, I am an international student and i've got an offer for law at the uni of bristol, my main issue is budgeting since the tution fees+ accomodation+ ticket+ visa etc will be really expensive. My parents will pay all off for me in the first year but i ll have to manage the accomodation fees on my own, i want to know about the part-time job opportunities from a current student and also the pay for it since i need to start calculating. furthermore please lmk if there are any bursaries or scholarships i can avail after joining. thankyou : )

go on the Bristol uni website and you will find plenty of bursaries for international students. I will link it. In terms of part time jobs most jobs pay minimum wage, so I am not sure how that is going to fund all your expenses, as I've heard tuition fees is expensive for international students. I suggest you go on indeed and look for part time jobs in Bristol!

When I googled average private accommodation is around £150-£300 a week. Grocery shopping weekly would be around £25-£44, and other events I am not to sure. Costs would include transport as well. Hope this helps

Just to give you an idea of the type of work/pay - Cribbs Causeway is a big Shopping Mall about 30 mins by bus from campus - Jobs at Cribbs - Cribbs Causeway (mallcribbs.com)

Same issue with me tbh and I'm entering 2nd year law 😭 Bristol has a career service website! Once you get your student account, you can log in and search for part time jobs there. (https://www.bristol.ac.uk/careers/) Other ideas for allowance, search for paid market research/surveys! I haven't done these though but I'm planning to learn more. I heard you can get £20-60 depending on the hours and intensity of the survey.
