not feeling jesus presence after sinning

Hi,

So i've always try to get closer to god but a sin that i commit nearly everyday stops me from doing growing closer to god. I pray that i am given the will and discipline to not to do it but i just easily give in. Im starting to think its because i don't truly trust and believe in jesus and i dont take him seriously. I feel like i've disappointed god because i always ask for forgiveness and then commit the sin again later on in the day. I lack a lot of discipline and i just want the urge to go away but it doesn't. Any advice

Jesus will always love you no matter what. If you want to change, you must fight your temptations no matter what. Cut off everything related or connected to your sin even if you feel like you cannot live without it. I adivse reading the bible every day (pace yourself) to strengthen your relationship with Christ, and go to church regularly. So if you're ever tempted, remember that the pleasures of this world are only temporary, but the pleasures of heaven are eternal.

Romans 13:14 "Clothe yourself with the presence of Lord Jesus Christ"

why

Because they don't want to? Two people trying to get someone to convert because they're feeling distant from god is a bit out of pocket.

i used to have a sin that i used to do almost everyday and the guilt i would feel after was so sad, i was really upset because i wanted a relationship with God but i felt like this sin was getting in the way.

one thing that really helped me was hebrews 6:6, which basically says that sinning is like you personally nailed Jesus to the cross and that thought i literally could not bear and after that i ended up stopping with that sin.

it might not be this easy though, but please don’t worry or feel like God is angry at you and doesn’t want a relationship. An image that really makes me feel like i have a connection with God is that whenever you run away from him, he never changes. “Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday, today and forever.” Think the prodigal son, and Him leaving the 99 to find the lost one sheep. He will never forget you or leave you lonely.

the first step in getting closer is sitting down and admitting what you did, at first i was really embarrassed about it but you have to remember that God is omnipresent and He knows your sins so you shouldn’t feel like you can’t say anything to Him, He’s closer than a friend.

here is a basic structure you can follow if you are unsure: “Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me a sinner”, then go into detail about what You have done. Explain that You want to have a relationship with Him and that this sin is stopping you and You would like to pray for deliverance and for self control against that sin. Then thank God for being good and never forsaking you, then end with In Jesus name Amen.

I really hope that this was helpful although it is a bit long, God bless!
