Big 4 vs Uni

Hey guys! I recently got an offer from Ey (School leaver apprenticeship programme) The only thing im worried is missing out on the social life I couldve had at uni... Career wise im sure I want to do accounting so its better if I get started right away... its just that I dont want to ruin my late teens and early 20s by doing work all the time (also prepare for the 15 exams) :frown:(( what would u guys have done?? Thx alot !

you could maybe take the apprenticeship and then leave and go to uni if you don’t like it? that way you could still get paid whilst being able to decide if accounting is for you, and if it’s not you can just apply to other apprenticeships whilst you’re there or reapply to uni

the opportunity to work at EY is amazing and is probably the firm you'll be working at if you go to uni.

I would recommend takin the apprenticeship any day as EY is top 4, also if your worried about social life then you really shouldn't be, I know EY have lots of other apprentices and the work culture is great over there with regular social interactions etc,

I guess its up to you what "social" life your after 🤷*♂️

hope it helps!
