Anyone here with CIFAS Marker who managed to get a job in the Financial Services?

I'm asking in regards to a Cat 4 Marker, which is what I'm currently subjected to (thanks to my younger, stupid self).

I still have 2 years left to 'serve' and was wondering if it would be possible to get a job as an FX Broker/Stockbroker with a company that isn't registered on the CIFAS database. I'm also not sure if it would come up for FCA registered companies so that info would be of help.
