iPhone 15 Pro?

Hi,

I'm considering making the switch to an apple phone. For context, I've always been very anti-apple since the iPhone 5c series came out (due to apple's price shooting up) - and as such, most of my "ecosystem" is android / windows (asus laptop, sony headphones, etc).

Recently though, my android phone (pixel 7 pro) is starting to become buggy, freezing on google maps when driving (thats a big issue) and the software just doesn't feel...well... smooth.

As much as I've never liked apples prices, I do agree that they make some polished phones. Can someone who has one of the 15 series explain if the upgrade is worth it? The most important traits in a phone to me are: battery life, brightness, screen fluidity, camera quality, "clean" software & durability.

I'd like to stretch my budget to the pro if possible, but £899 is a lot of money, and i just need to hear from someone who owns one that its worth it.

omd i have the new iPhone 15 pro max but let me tell you , i have no clue whats wrong but the camera is so freaking bad i bought this phone to have a much better camera but its horrible. When you are about to take the picture its absolutely clear but when taken , it looses its clarity and almost becomes...grainy and gray.
its so annoying as well..( its been said to happen with a lot more other people as well)
Also apparently its also overheats very badly but i am not sure about it..

but would i recommend it? not really..
worth the price? i don't think so
but its my opinion at the end as a normal average user

if you want to know more i recommend this video - https://youtu.be/YmwskGLycHo?si=_JQ9RnTbzH-GgV9h

Your 7 Pro shouldn't be falling apart like that yet, I still use a Pixel 5 from 4 years ago as a backup phone which launched with midrange-tier chipset, and performance is still very smooth outside of more intensive tasks, even in comparison to my daily driver Z Fold 4. Your 7 Pro is less than two years old and had a flagship tier processor, it should absolutely be holding up better than it sounds like yours is. I would start with a factory reset and see if that can resolve the issues you're having, and if you have any insurance on it I would send it off for repairs if the issues persist after the rest.

With that being said, if you're determined to move on to another phone, the iPhone 15 Pro is an excellent option that ticks all of your boxes- fantastic display with class leading brightness, top tier camera system (a small number of other phones, namely the recent models in the Pixel line, arguably have a slight edge in photo quality but iPhones are hands down the best option for video quality and for a balance between the two), solid battery life and clean software (that may feel a little locked down depending on how much you used to tweak your pixel). The Pro is definitely the one to stretch for, but that's mainly due to two completely stupid decisions Apple made on the baseline 15- they kept the year-old chipset from the iPhone 14, and kept the screen's refresh rate at 60Hz in a world where even sub-£150 Android phones are getting 90Hz displays.
