dentistry related EPQ

I want to carry out an EPQ on whether water supplies should be fluoridated or not, but I just realised that the AQA GCSE chemistry curriculum covers the topic of water fluoridation. Would this go against the guidelines for the EPQ topic not having been covered by your qualifications?

Yep, please do not risk it. Even if the overlap is minor, it may still be considered against the guidelines, so I would really recommend changing the topic even slightly so the content doesn't overlap with any topics you are studying in other classes, as someone who has already done their epq.

Not if you expand it cause this only touches on it on a very basic level. I did my EPQ on the human heart and it was approved. But make this clear! Say you did it on a primary level in GCSE but that you will have to do all the other research.

If you don't mind me asking, what sort of chapter names/ subheadings did you have? I'm currently still in the planning stages and having a different perspective on this topic would be really useful.
