I'm trying to log into student finance and I've forgotten my password.

So I've tried to reset my password but after filling in my details it say that it can't find an account with that information.

However if I go and try to make a new account it says that there's already an account with my information.

They include a phone number on their site however I have severe anxiety when it comes to calls and talking to new people. I found an email address on the student room but I haven't gotten a reply and its been over a week. I checked their twitter and it says they cant dm on there anymore.

I know student finance closes soon and I'm starting to panic. So if anyone else knows how else I can contact them that would be much appreciated.

Hi there, the only way to reset this would be to call, or you can write a letter with your details (name, address, customer reference number, email etc.) and ask us to send you a reset link. It takes around 14 working days for the letter. Thanks, Leah.

Thank you for responding. The issue is is that I've not received a Customer Reference Number. I've never received any emails from student finance before and I've never actually go onto my account to see that number. And I've called multiple times and it appears there's nothing I can do without a Customer Reference Number. So I'm really lost on what I can actually do, please do you have any advice?

Hi beynn,

We should still be able to locate your account even if you do not have your Customer Reference Number to hand, if you call us on 0300 100 0607 we will be able to assist.

Saying help was finally registered and was able to state my other information. Any recommendation on what time I should call, because the next issue that I've run into was that the line was very busy?

Hi there, our line is open from 8.am to 8.pm. It may be quicker calling earlier or later in the day but there's never a confirmed 'busy time' as this can differ on a day to day basis. Thanks, Jason
